ASK-ICT-Solutions is here for people and organisations who want to go further with technology than just “clicking away an error message”. We are most at home when there is a question where multiple systems, people and workflows intersect. Together with you we look not only at what is broken right now, but especially at how your digital environment as a whole can become more pleasant, more stable and more future-proof. That can be a small practice, a foundation, a creative company or an independent professional who is not so much looking for “more gear”, but for peace of mind, overview and tools that simply do what they are supposed to do.

In projects we prefer to think in ecosystems rather than in separate boxes. Sometimes that means designing and connecting new solutions, sometimes it means deliberately keeping older systems and fitting them in smartly. We find it interesting to breathe new life into an ageing workstation with, for example, Linux, to get an old BEOS system with specific hardware running again, or to set up industrial, photographic or music equipment in such a way that it can once more play a role in your daily work. Where possible, we also take over written-off or “unusable” hardware in order to reuse parts or build complete machines for a second life.

ASK-ICT-Solutions is part of the ASK-Solutions foundation. This means that the projects we carry out for our clients directly contribute to our social work. Think of refurbishing and providing affordable or sponsored computers for people on a tight budget or older users who would otherwise be left behind, and of handling materials with care that would otherwise end up as waste. Working with us does not only mean getting technical support with complex questions, but also helping to pass on knowledge, equipment and opportunities to others.
